WE DECIDED TO QUIT DINKIN’ AROUND!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 Dilly Pickleball League was founded in 2021, when two event experts decided to put on ‘something’, and their buddy passionately oozed onto them about the magic of ‘Pickleball’! They realize the biggest kept secret in sports is seriously missing out on some sparkle and sass. Insert #teamDilly. McCall, the Brainchild, was looking to start a new touring, exciting event. Ethan, the Pickler, has 5+ years of obsession with the game behind his belt, and Katie, as always, was down for a good time and a challenge to bridge this gap in the Pickleball World.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               WHAT’S THE DILL WITH PICKLEBALL?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              Pickleball is a cross between tennis and ping-pong, with some elements of badminton. The court is about half the size of a tennis court. The game is played with a plastic wiffle ball and paddles that resemble those used in racquetball. Requiring less running after the ball than tennis, the slower-moving whiffle ball is easier to hit on the smaller playing surface, but still requires constant motion and good hand-eye coordination. Pickleball is simple to learn and beginners are often playing on their own by the end of one lesson, which contributes to the movement of being one of the fastest growing sports in the nation. The sport is a game of shot placement and patience, not brute power or strength, which is one reason why it appeals to players of all ages.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 TALK DILLY TO ME!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             The Dilly Pickleball League is taking the competitive nature of pickleball and mixing it with an organized league fashion and tournament opportunities, located in Iconic Las Vegas. The inaugural season will be hosted this Spring, starting March 31, 2021, at the Plaza Hotel & Casino in Downtown, Las Vegas. Dilly Pickleball League will offer men’s and women’s doubles, mixed doubles and singles for all ages.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    The Plaza’s thirteen pickleball courts will host eight weeks of league play, every Wednesday night from 5:30 PM - 9:30 PM. Being played fourteen feet away from your opponents, pickleball is very socially distanced allowing for a COVID-19 safe social experience to keep you healthy and entertained.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Dilly Pickleball League’s mission is to, “Grow the sport of pickleball across the Nation.
